Breakfast Stuffed French Bread
1 loaf of French Bread
sliced ham, turkey or bacon
sliced cheese
4 oz. cream cheese
1 Tbsp. minced garlic
6 eggs
salt & pepper, to taste
1. Heat the oven to 400 degrees.
2. Cut the top off the bread. Scoop out some of the bread from the bottom piece.*
3. Line the bread with sliced cheese.
Top with the sliced meat or bacon.
4. Mix the cream cheese with the garlic.
Spread on top of the meat.
5. Scramble the eggs. Spoon them on top of the cream cheese.
Add more sliced cheese.
Put the top on the bread.
6. Wrap the loaf up tightly in foil.
Bake it for 15 minutes. Serves hot.
*Save the bread you've scooped out for bread pudding or stuffing. You can put it in a zip-lock bag in the freezer.
