Cornbread
2 cups cornmeal - yellow or white
2 cups flour
2 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
4 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
4 eggs
2 cups buttermilk
1/2 cups melted butter
1. Heat the oven to 400 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13 pan.
2. Whisk together all the dry ingredients.
3. Mix the eggs, buttermilk and butter together.
Pour into the dry ingredients. Mix just to moisten.
4. Pour into the pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. A toothpick will come out clean.
Cool in pan 10 minutes before cutting.
