Baking Powder Biscuits
3 cups flour
2 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cream of tarter
3/4 cups butter
3/4 cups milk
1 egg
1. Heat oven to 425 degrees.
2. Mix the dry ingredients.
Cut in butter until it looks like coarse meal.
Stir in the milk and egg.
3. Turn onto a floured board.
Knead 4 or 5 times.
Roll or pat out to 3/4-inch thickness. Cut with a biscuit cutter.
4. Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 10 to 15 minutes.
