Smothered Pork Chops with Potatoes & Gravy

6 pork chops, 1 inch thick
4 medium potatoes, cut in chunks
1 green pepper, sliced
1 onion, chopped
3 Tbsp. olive oil or butter
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. paprika
salt & pepper, to taste
2 cups chicken broth
1 can (10 oz) cream of mushroom soup
2 Tbsp. flour
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

1. Heat the oven to 375 degrees. Use a large baking dish.

2. Season the pork chops on both sides.

3. Heat the oil on medium-high. Sear the pork chops for 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Remove to a plate.

4. Saute the onion and pepper for 4 minutes.
Sprinkle on the flour. Cook 1 minute, stirring.
Stir in the broth, soup and Worcestershire sauce.
Simmer 3 minutes.

5. Arrange the potatoes in the baking dish. 
Pour on a small amount of gravy to coat them.
Lay the pork chops on top. Pour gravy over it all.

6. Cover with foil. Bake 45 minutes.
Remove the foil. Bake 20 minutes longer.
Serve.

Serves 6.
