Grandma's Fudge

Grandma's Fudge

3 cups sugar
3 heaping Tbsp. cocoa
pinch of salt
1 stick butter
1 cup evaporated milk
3 heaping Tbsp. creamy peanut butter
3 heaping Tbsp. marshmallow creme

1. Mix the sugar, salt and cocoa in a heavy saucepan.
Bury up the butter so it's on the bottom.
Pour in the evaporated milk.
Bring this to a rolling boil.
DO NOT STIR!
Let it boil for 7 minutes.

2. While it's boiling, butter an 8 x 8 inch pan.

3. When it's done, turn off the heat. Beat in the peanut butter and marshmallow creme.
Keep beating until it's all mixed in and it's no longer glossy.

4. Pour into the pan.
Let it set and cool completely.

**Here's a tip:
The recipe calls for Tablespoons. This is NOT measuring spoons. You'll use a good serving spoon and make sure it's heaping!

The spoon should be as big as the palm of your hand.

Tip #2 - Never use Domino sugar. You're fudge will come out gritty. It just doesn't melt or mix in right.
