Chocolate Cream Pie


Chocolate Cream Pie

1 9-inch pie crust, baked and cooled
1/2 cups cocoa
3 cups milk
1 1/3 cups sugar
3 Tbsp flour
3 Tbsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
3 egg yolks
1/3 cups butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

1. In a saucepan, whisk together the cocoa and 2 cups milk. 
Cook over medium heat just to a boil. Remove from heat.

2. In a bowl, stir together the sugar, flour, cornstarch and salt.
In a separate bowl, mix 1 cup milk with the egg yolks. Stir into the sugar mixture.
Gradually add to the chocolate.

3. Cook on medium heat to boiling. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat.
Stir in butter and vanilla.

4. Pour into pie crust. Cool. Refrigerate.

Serves with Cool Whip, whipped cream or you can whip up some meringue.

Serves 6.
