Homemade Bisquick Mix
8 cups sifted flour
1/4 cups baking powder
1 Tbsp baking soda
6 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp salt
2 cups vegetable shortening
Whisk together all the dry ingredients.
With a pastry blender, cut in the shortening until it resembles coarse corn meal.
Store in a tightly covered container in a cool place.
This can be used just as you would use Bisquick.
Makes about 11 cups.
