Chicago Pizza
This is my version of a Chicago Pizza. I used a 12 inch spring form pan. There are no measurements - just an ingredient list and directions. I also used refrigerated pizza crust.
pizza crust
pizza sauce
onions
green pepper
mushrooms
pepperoni
ground beef
diced ham
mozzarella, grated
Provolone
Parmesan
Cheddar, grated
1. Heat the oven to 425 degrees.
2. Spread the pizza dough in the pan and up the sides. Let it rest for 10 minutes. Press it again. Bake it for 10 minutes.
3. Saute the vegetables. Set aside.
4. Saute the ground beef. Season with Italian seasoning. Drain. Set aside.
5. Now, start layering:
Provolone
mozzarella
Parmesan
meats
vegetables
sauce
Cheddar cheese
Parmesan
6. Bake it for 25 minutes. Let it rest 10 minutes before removing the side panels and serving.
A Chicago Pizza is made upside-down from a normal pizza. You want the provolone on the bottom to seal the crust so it doesn't get soggy.
