Apple Dapple Cake

 Apple Dapple Cake

3 cups flour

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. baking soda

2 tsp. apple pie spice

1 cup chopped nuts

1 cup vegetable oil

2 cups sugar

3 eggs

2 tsp. vanilla extract

3 cups apples, peeled, cored & chopped

Sauce

1 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup milk

1 1/2 sticks butter

1. Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 10 cup Bundt pan.

2. Mix the oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla.  Add the dry ingredients. Fold in the nuts and apples.

3. Pour into the pan. Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean.

4. Put the sauce ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Stirring constantly. Bring to a gentle boil. Cook 3 minutes, stirring.

5. Pour the sauce over the cake as soon as it comes out of the oven. Cool it completely before turning onto a serving plate.
